Phosphate finish War time with stamped safety release Phosphate finish War time with stamped take down lever Phosphate finish War time phosphated small parts Phosphate finish War time strawed small parts Pre War Military (1936, 1937, and 1938 examples)Įagle K Police (41, 42, 43, and two different no dates) Found this on another board a while back, pretty decent list of the known CZ27 variations: If you haven't seen this list before, this could be a good place to start for some Google-searching, maybe one of the earlier variations here is marked like yours. Wish I could offer more insight but these early ones are so tough so find I haven't ever seen enough to know a whole lot about them. WaA marked barrel is interesting as well. Michael, nice gun.interesting that it is lacking SNs in some of the usual places. They have eagle/swastika test proofs on the barrel (and some have the WaA76 waffenamt on the barrel too), just no waffenamt on the frame like the occupation guns. If I am remembering correctly the DR marked guns were technically a commercial contract since it was pre-occupation, but they went to the Nazis just the same. Believe the reference to German production beginning around 20.5k is in reference to occupation production. Michael is correct, both are in fact CZ-27s, just very early ones not seen very often.
